Session 2 - Sailing Away
The ship hits the fan

Some crafty negotiating at Belthar and Sons got the party the use of The Astral Mistress, the fastest ship in Belthar and Sons’ fleet. Unfortunately they had to make due with the available crew.

As the ship was hauled to the portal into the astral sea, githyanki raiders attacked from their ship, leaping between the relative gravity of the ship’s decks. The party managed to beat back their assault, but the attacking captain managed to put the astral portal a little off course, dropping the Astral Mistress into the plane right above an astral storm that a kraken had been hiding in.

The battle with the kraken’s tentacles claimed many of the crew, leaving only a skeleton crew to pilot the Mistress. The ship limped away from the wounded kraken, just catching a glance of it through the shifting clouds of the astral storm.

XP: 2,500 each

Session 1 - Welcome to Sigil
Now leaving the material plane...

Tasked with carrying Oswyn’s Artifacts to the mysterious spring that will replenish them, the pary set out through a portal at the Oswyn Academy at an official ceremony. Unfortunately, the portal led not to where they expected to be, but to an alarmed room in the Shattered Cathedral in the planar city of Sigil.

A dark dwarf was waiting outside the room, apparently ready for the party. The ensuing fight almost turned into a battle with the guard, but the party managed to talk them down and proceeded to the library.

As soon as they stepped inside a mechanical librarian grabbed the box containing the artifacts and carried it away to a remote room, deep in the depths of the library. In the center of the room was a table with dusty outlines of the artifacts set on it. Once the party placed the artifacts in their matching outline a librarian fetched a book for them, one that had apparently been used by Oswyn. Inside was a perpetual contract for carriage across the astral sea, to any destination, for the bearer on the ships of Belthar and Sons shipping.

After surviving a mugging in the depths of the library, the party set out for Belthar and Sons.
